I know next to nothing about this man’s art. I may like it.
What recently intrigued me about Bob Ragland, when listening to this NPR interview, was his attitude about Being an artist. I really enjoyed the interview at a short 4:30 minutes. It made me want to know more about this man with such simple and direct intentions. In his case that’s making it since 1971 as an artist.
He doesn’t make it sound easy but rather puts the real deal, in your face facts about what it would take to be an artist. His way could be applied to any practice you desire.
I would invest in a Bob Ragland artwork if I had the dough to do so.

This sunset stopped me in my tracks. Sure, in a place like Florida perhaps you would expect this kind of thing on the way to the car but here in Brooklyn it’s been really crummy weather. I was on my way to a friend’s party and happened to have the camera with me. I scolded myself when I second guessed taking a photo or not.

Hey random reader, I’ve updated my site!
- No more very repetitive Twitter posts. Sorry if you were actually following me in email.
- If you have WordPress, I highly recommend upgrading to the new version 2.7. It gives management a lot of tools that have been missing. Should cut save a lot of time overall.
- Replacing the Twitter tweets is Lifestream on a new page in the top navigation. I’m personally new to the concept of a lifestream but love the idea. Basically it’s one location for you to view recent updates (through rss feeds) of my input on different sites. This will be growing.
