I appreciate my roommate’s desire to explore different beers and share the moment. This doesn’t even begin to tell the tale of the night and doesn’t even highlight the true special brew of the night.

I also tagged some favorites on Flickr today. I guess any one of the following photos could represent animal cruelty but one really stands out as possible for me.

While I passed the time, I conveyed fear.

Alf – in Farum’s contribution to this pool is unique. As the second of the top five contributers, I didn’t think I’d get this type of aerial photography when I started this pool. Nice surprise.

It gives me a little nostalgic feeling too.

NY Botanical Gardens

The trip to the gardens was initiated by the last weekend of the orchid show and ultimately my awesome friend Jeanne.

Besides a rather wet and rainy day it didn’t dampen the show. Actually it made me want to see the thousands of orchids I remembered seeing at the New York International Orchid Show back in 2007. I was telling Jeanne all about it rather excitedly. Today though, I’ve come to realize it is no longer. What a disappointment since it was such a grand event. If anyone knows of similar shows for 2009 in the NYC area, please let me know where I can learn more – thanks.

Christopher called for lunch today. Enjoyed some Mexican food at Yola’s. Soon after it became three with Laura and we enjoyed some midday conversation. Great time to take a few shots.

Another great day with friends. The rain held off again and I even got some work done too. All the weekend’s photos are in this set on flickr. Most are of my friends but I managed to find other shots of the streets. Taking my camera out again has given me a feeling like that of Spring. I feel I’m part of Spring by taking my camera out again.
